Few fixtures will come better dressed than a Nigeria game these days. With so much hype around their fresh Nike collection, this warm up for the World Cup was served with the strongest of looks.

A much welcomed curtain raiser starting at Wembley before making moves for Russia, for Nigeria this was a chance to parade what has unanimously become one of the greatest kits of the last decade. For England, it served as preparation for the conditions the tournament may bring. As hard as you might try, it's impossible not to be lured in by that Nigeria kit and ignore the result entirely.

As results go though, it was one both teams can take comfort from. While England commanded throughout, Nigeria will be happy having bagged a goal at Wembley. England offered slick passing and a strong level of understanding. Zipped passes mixed with measured cross-field-balls, there was some attractive play on show in a game where the hosts took the lead after just seven minutes. Leading from the back it was a bullet header of Gary Cahill that kicked off proceedings before Harry Kane doubled the lead before half time. Nigeria got one back early into the second half thanks to the ever exciting Alex Iwobi.

Leeds is the next location for England as they gain momentum towards the summer's tournament. Costa Rica is the final opponent in their prep-work-friendlies ahead of the World Cup. For Nigeria, the squad travel to Austria to take on the Czech Republic. Just over a week until it all goes down in Russia. Here starts the hype.
