Photographer Matthew Stith Documents RBNY Fans Around New York

The power of a football shirt is emphatic. Going through the streets of New York and bringing together a compelling set of images, photographer Matthew Stith has created a series of portraits to document the fandom that is well worn for RBNY across the city.

The MLS is entering its famed 'Rivalry Week' so it's only right he went some measure to show how New York Red Bulls argue that the city is just that, Red. Standing out as a piece of visual story telling too, it's a timely serving that showcases the varying looks of the football fan. Each one of us incorporates elements of football into what we wear from time to time and this set of imagery adds some of the flavour straight out of the big apple.

Whether the city is red or blue, the MLS Rivalry week comes with a week of anticipation. You've got NYFC v RBNY through to LAFC v LA Galaxy not to mention every game in the middle with each team looking to stake their claim on the land.

Strong imagery that definitely wins the game visually, you can see more work from Matthew Stith here. Who wouldn't want one of those jerseys now? You can suit up for the season here.
