The SoccerBible Podcast Ep. 12: Dominic Solanke

This week’s episode of The SoccerBible Podcast welcomes a man who’s been smashing heights and creating a name for himself through a combination of talent and graft. Bournemouth’s Dom Solanke is on a mission to fire Bournemouth – and himself – back to the Premier League…

It’s an elite few who can boast both Liverpool and Chelsea on their resume, and among that group is 24 year old Dominic Solanke, who currently finds himself at promotion-chasing Championship side Bournemouth. But those two elite clubs are not the only impressive thing in the striker’s record of achievement; This is a guy who knows what it’s like to win a tournament with England, having been part of the side that won the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup with his country, receiving the Golden Ball award for best player in the latter tournament to boot. Yep, Solanke’s a player and no mistake.

Solanke is a player so well versed in all that football can offer. From playing abroad, to being that 'wonderkid', to playing for Chelsea, Liverpool, and now Bournemouth, he’s on a quest to get back to the top flight, firing his current side towards that promotion place. With all this in mind, in this latest episode of The SoccerBible Podcast we talk about his rise, the journey and all those learning curves in between. A fascinating insight into the mind of a talented individual. All that and a tale about Aaron Ramsdale dressed up as a Dinosaur...
