Mauro Icardi receives a bespoke jersey as part of the "Brothers of the World" project to celebrate 40 years of Nike football shirt culture. The collection features a number of Swoosh collaborations, but this design is all about the Inter Milan captain.
Nike are dropping a number of collaborative football jerseys throughout Milan Design Week, including a link up with Slam Jam, but Icardi is the first player to receive a signature limited edition shirt before it hits shelves in restricted numbers on April 19.
The "Brothers of the World" collection has allowed Nike to challenge the perception of the standard performance football shirt, and experiment with more streetwear influences. The Icardi jersey features an irreverent double Swoosh on the front of the shirt, while his record as a prolific attacker inspired the target symbol dominating the centre of the shirt.
As a tribute to his beloved homeland, the outline of Argentina features down the side of the shirt, and the national flag is reinterpreted with a yellow sun on a blue background.
