Eske x adidas Collaborate On Unique Tango Collection

Dishing out a dose of custom creation on another level, designer Eske Schiralli has collaborated with adidas Canada for a bespoke take on the Tango Collection. Mutating the aesthetics of the Three Stripes for a unique capsule, the m.a.d.mfg x adidasca collection is set to be released at the Tango League in Toronto this weekend.

Eske’s aim with the @m.a.d.mfg x @adidasca capsule was to regenerate sport performance gear of the future from the point of view of the garments, taking the approach of how they would evolve as beings themselves rather than products of mankind’s design. Sounds pretty wild, granted, but the results are a truly unique and individual take on the Tango collection that's as fresh as anything you're likely to see. Could you get away with it down your local five-a-side? Probably not. Would it stand you apart from the rest on the street? Absolutely.

The limited capsule collection is comprised of reworked adidas Tiro pants, which see a floral design split across the Three Stripes, and a Woven Cropped Jacket that carries the monicker ‘MADIDAS’. True to its name it literally and figuratively weaves together the legacy of adidas with the core elements of MAD. It features a design that uses loosely hand woven panels of three adidas performance fabrics along with denim, fleece and ripstop. Eske said of the jacket: “If a soccer jersey and a warmup jacket were bound together with Three Stripes, exposed to MAD bacteria and left to evolve on its own over thousands of years, this is what I think would happen.

The adidas Tango League Tournament is being held this weekend in Toronto and there will be MAD stations set to offer bespoke customisations, with the first 250 people at the door being given a pair of the MAD reworked Tiro pants, which can also be customised further if you so desired.

The adidas Tango League Toronto merges soccer, street culture, art, and music into one unique experience and you can check it out this weekend at Ellington West Gallery, 2301 Keele Street, Toronto.
