Nike Sportswear launches the next instalment of the Sport Pack for Spring/Summer 19, and the collection boasts some fresh stylings, complete with throwback vibes that take inspiration from 2002’s 'Secret Tournament'.

The Sport Pack has fast established itself as a regular in the performance and lifestyle crossover arena, delivering a new language of creative self-expression with a casual approach that’s perfectly suited to the street. And the latest drop in the line – which is comprised of a range of shorts, trackpants, tees, vests, and jackets – is no different, taking some vintage vibes from 2002’s ‘Secret Tournament’ and adding it to a collection that’s packed with monochromatic colourings and bursts of vibrant colours.

The ‘Secret Tournament’ was part of Nike’s fantastic promotional campaign in the build up to the 2002 World Cup, which saw 24 of the best footballers in the world going at it in some three-on-three action. Chuck in a bit of Cantona and Elvis and you can start to remember why these ads were so good. It was also known as the ‘Scorpion KO Tournament’ thanks to the presence of the aforementioned critter’s appearance in the campaign material, and it’s this same scorpion that you’ll find scattered across the SS19 Sport Pack collection sometimes more subtly than others. Secret Tournament throwback with some summer style? Sold.
