Louis Vuitton Launch The Equipe LV Polo

Luxury Italian Fashion brand Louis Vuitton have taken another step into the world of football by launching the Equipe LV Polo with obvious football jersey influence. There has been constant noise about the brands entering the football market and this latest move will add fuel to that fire.

This piece channels classic sportswear codes into a colourful look. Crafted in a slim fit with a knitted polo collar, it's embellished with a mix of printed and 3D-embroidered graphics. Its double fabric construction features cotton on the inside and technical fibre on the outside, with tonal metallic buttons completing the effect. A familiar football template with the traditional club crest, brand, sponsor line-up with name and number on the rear of the jersey, the jersey holds a price tag of £590.

This time last year there was a lot of speculation coming out of Italy that Luis Vuitton was keen on a deal to buy Seire A powerhouse AC Milan, which ultimately led to numerous concept designs imagining what a potential Luis Vuitton x AC Milan football kit could look like. The high-end fashion world has been influencing football clubs such as Milan and PSG in terms of their on pitch and off pitch clothing designs, and you get the feeling an official collaboration is closer than ever.
