Umbro Drop AC/DC x Scottland Capsule

Pulling back to an iconic moment in history where the world’s of football and music collided way ahead of the current cross culture world that we enjoy now, Umbro collaborate with rock legends AC/DC for a special capsule collection.

30 April, 1978. Just weeks before the World Cup in Argentina, anticipation was reaching fever pitch. AC/DC were in their prime, rocking in front of a capacity Glasgow Apollo, and to round off the show and fuel the hype, the band performed their encore wearing the Scotland '78 jersey. The scenes were as you’d expect. Now, honouring that momentous occasion, Umbro have partnered with AC/DC for a special capsule collection modelled around that famous Scotland shirt; a shirt immortalised by Scotland’s most celebrated national squad in history, a squad that produced the goal of the tournament against runners up, Holland. A squad that returned with legendary status.

The reissued ten-piece Scotland capsule collection is led by the main navy football jersey with contrast white shoulder-and-sleeve taping and AC/DC’s High Voltage chest-level logo alongside Umbro’s diamond. AC/DC’s High Voltage logo and a screen-printed ‘78’ then feature on the back.

Alongside that jersey is a hoody, tee, shorts, retro track jacket and bottoms, and accessories including trainers, a scarf and hats. The whole collection is centred around that cult classic jersey with its distinctive diamond taping. Rock and roll, Scotland style.

The AC/DC x Umbro capsule collection is now available on umbro.co.uk.
