While the battle continues to rage on the pitch, it also shows no sign of slowing down off it. That’s right, one of the fiercest rivalries in world football enters a new chapter as Asbury Park FC and Neptune City FC reveal their 2021 jerseys.

You know how the saying goes: keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Well that appears to be the mantra of best of frenemies, Asbury Park FC and Neptune City FC, who put their differences aside to each release their own 2021 ‘Rivals’ jerseys. The Rivals Pack extends the "Locals Only" play approach, where local bands are used as models, highlighting local businesses as shirt sponsors.

For APFC local indie band Not Yer Baby were recruited, and they were shot inside and outside Cafe Volan, home to the City by the Sea's best coffee-on-a-bench hangs and prime hangout spot for Jersey Shore creatives, surfers and musicians. The 2021 APFC Rivals kit features a 100 percent Polyester Interlock on a classic geometrical 1990's sublimated design. But more importantly it features Cafe Volan as the front of kit sponsor for the first time.

For APFC's Monmouth County Derby rivals, Neptune City FC (a division of the Sh*tty Football Group), area inksmiths Neptune Tattoo were brought on board for a darker take on the same 90's-inspired geometric pattern that adorns the APFC kit. Here, the shop owner/tattoo artist Patrick Dean and tattoo artist Damion Deloen were used to model the tops within the art-adorned walls of the shop.
