MEYBA Drop Football-Infused SS22 Collection

Ready for a fresh new year, Barcelona-based brand MEYBA is digging back into the roots of its origin for the Spring/Summer 22 collection, lifting inspiration across the range directly from classic Blaugrana style.

Having begun life way back in the 1940s, MEYBA really stepped forward as a globally recognised brand in the 80s when they sponsored the great Barcelona side that boasted the likes of Maradona, Cruyff, Guardiola, Laudrup, Koeman, Stoichkov all wearing clothing adorned with that unmistakeable Mitica ‘M’ symbol. Flash forward a few decades and following a period of hibernation, the brand is back, hitting the lifestyle scene hard, while understandably embracing its impressive roots.

Unveiled in a lookbook that was shot in and around Barcelona, the SS22 collection features several jersey-style tees alongside wider lifestyle pieces, all carrying the iconic and instantly recognisable colouring blues and deep reds of the Blaugrana. The collection is not yet available, with the Lookbook acting more as a tease for the impending drop, which is rumoured to be arriving in two separate instalments.

While MEYBA has reintroduced itself into the public consciousness through a purely lifestyle avenue, collaborating with the likes of YMC and FC Real Bristol, the brand is set to make moves that will see it back on the pitch this year. One to watch out for…

Eyes peeled for the MEYBA SS22 collection, which is expected to drop in two instalments early this year.
