Continuing to keep its collaboration game strong, Paris Saint Germain has invited designer Esteban Cortazar to create a summer capsule collection celebrating the fashion designer’s roots and the Latin influence of the club in football culture.
Everyone should know by now that PSG are the leaders in the football x fashion space, treading ground that most clubs could only dream of. Their latest foray into the arena comes courtesy of a hook up with renowned fashion designer, Esteban Cortazar for a collection that celebrates the designer’s Latin heritage and the club’s deep connections with Latin America. The PSG x Esteban Cortázar collection showcases the best of Latin American culture, merging artisanal techniques with popular motifs, and features collaborations with talented artists like Studio El Guerrero, Popular de Lujo, Sequence, Cheboards, and Rebond.
The collaboration is centred around a collection inspired by the colours, nature and vibrancy of Latin American heritage, celebrating football through a lifestyle capsule that will include ready-to-wear items and accessories.
Speaking of the collection, Esteban Cortazar said: “After a couple of years in the making, I am so excited to finally launch my collaboration with my friends at PSG. I feel honored to have been invited to celebrate my roots and Latin heritage in this unexpected way, and with a collection that I call Paris Latino.”
Fabien Allegre, Chief Brand Officer, PSG, said: “Aqui es Paris... For a long time we have wanted to find a way to express our closeness to the South American community from an artistic point of view. Esteban’s work spreads positive energy, a joyful and colorful message, with a touch of bohemian-chic. Esteban reinterprets here the codes and the close ties that link Paris Saint-Germain to Latin America. Authenticity and know-how are also boosted by many local artisans with embroidery or prints. By oscillating between several universes and cultures, this collaboration fully embodies the values that the Paris Saint-Germain brand conveys.”
