Kappa & Surgeon Unveil Special Edition Futbol Kit

Paying homage to the golden era of jersey design, Kappa have joined forces with Los Angeles based collective SURGEON for a limited-edition futbol jersey and short combo.

If you’re of a certain age then you will likely fondly remember the golden age of jersey design, when big and baggy was the order of the day, and designs were bold and brash. As one of the most authentic brands in the world of football and specifically kits, having been the first brand in Italy to sponsor a club with Juventus in the 1970s, they have an extensive archive on which to draw upon, and so they’ve partnered with SURGEON to reimagine one of their all-time greats.

That shirt is the often-overlooked-but-rarely-bettered Italy national team uniforms worn at the Euro 2000 tournament. These were the epitome of jersey design at the time, encapsulating everything that football shirt culture was about, and SURGEON has reimagined it in its own image, elevating the design for a contemporary space, utilising high quality materials and fabrication for which the collective has become synonymous with.

The Kappa x SURGEON Reaper Jersey features an oversized fit and is highlighted by a colour-blocked silhouette, patchwork logos, and embroidered embellishments. The black base is overlaid with white and gold embellishments, with the SURGEON's logo featuring prominently throughout, sitting alongside the Omini logo on the sleeve banding.

Limited to just 150 jerseys and 100 shorts worldwide, the Kappa x SURGEON futbol kits are available exclusively at kappa.com and thesurgeon.com
