Kappa & Les Ardentes Festival Release Collaborative Collection

Fusing the Italian brand’s fashion heritage with the vibrant energy and fervent atmosphere of the iconic music festival, Kappa and Les Ardentes have revealed a new football-infused collaborative collection that offers a unique experience for music and streetwear fans alike.

Having strengthened their position at the forefront of on-pitch jersey design in recent years, iconic Italian sportswear and lifestyle brand, Kappa, turns its attention to strengthening its connection to hip-hop cultures and the contemporary music scene through a new three-year partnership with Les Ardentes music festival. Les Ardentes is recognised as one of the most emblematic musical events in Europe and the biggest hip-hop festival in the world, with over 250,000 festival-goers attending Astrid Park in Liège, Belgium over its four day span every June, since its debut in 2006. And to kick off this new partnership, Kappa has produced a new 16-piece collaborative collection.

The collection arrives in the festival colours (yellow, green, black, white) and bearing the Kappa logo alongside a revisted version of the Ardentes logo, which comes accompanied by pictograms and language elements that highlight the festive and international side of the event. It’s comprised of long-sleeved and short football jerseys, t-shirts, hoodies, as well as accessories including a bucket hat and socks.

"We're delighted and proud to be associated with Les Ardentes Festival for the next three years!" explained Rémi Garnier, Country Manager Kappa France. "A key festival on the European music scene, Les Ardentes attracts over 200,000 people over 4 days and continues to grow. This represents a unique opportunity for Kappa to reach a young, dynamic audience who share our brand values of fun and sharing. As we are already present at other festivals in the USA, Spain and Italy, it was important for us to pre-empt the French-speaking scene.  In addition to our long-standing partnerships in sport, which bring communities together, we believe in the power of music and hip-hop culture to cultivate, inspire and bring creativity to life around Kappa.

Jennifer Uilquot, Director of Les Ardentes Festival, and Thomas Held, Managing Director of Fimalac Entertainment, emphasised their pleasure with the collection through a statement that read: "Through this partnership with Kappa, we can offer our festival-goers, who are keen on streetwear, sport and collaborations, a unique range that reflects the image of the festival. Kappa has also been able to share its know-how with us so that we can offer the ideal products and designs to our public."
