Arriving as a celebration of the Euros and strengthening the union between the performance and hip-hop worlds, adidas and German streetwear label Ljubav combine once again to reveal a new collaborative jersey.
Building on an existing relationship, adidas and sustainable streetwear brand, Ljubav, take the next step in their relationship with a new collaborative jersey. That existing relationship was first forged through an association with Ljubav’s founder, rap-artist RIN, a German-born musician known for his distinctive lyrics and creativity. Back in 2021, he decided to take his creative talents into the fashion industry, and so Ljubav was born. Then, as an ambassador for adidas, the partnership was a simple, organic step away.
The first release of the partnership saw a special edition version of the iconic adidas NMD V3, which featured various “Ljubav”-brandings on select parts of the shoe as well as a unique, gras-themed design on both the insole and the box. Now, the collaboration develops on to a football-inspired jersey, for which the design sees dual branding throughout, celebrating the union and marking the year.
The jersey sees a black base with clean, contrast of white details on a black base. Grey accents in the jersey construction – specifically in the Three Stripe shoulder branding and side panels –complete the monochrome look, adding definition and shape to the design.
“Ljubav” sits front and centre in the traditional sponsor slot, while a bespoke badge has been created for the jersey, taking position on the left of the chest. On the reverse, the number 24 calls out the year of this drop, with “Ljubav” wording riding above, while details of where this exclusive tee will be available features in a smaller font below.
Ljubav takes its name from the Croatian word for love, a detail that's intrinsic to RIN's Bosnia and Herzegovina roots, and so a special message sits inside the collar, reading “Ljubav Your Body” – a callback to the brand’s ethos and a nice sign off for the design.
