Lovers FC & Rizla Return With A Second Collaborative Drop

Following on from their first collaborative drop earlier this year, Lovers F.C. and Rizla return with a second collaborative drop, and this time they’re drawing influence from Jamaica.

Back in April, Lovers F.C. and Rizla unveiled a collaborative capsule that saw three iconic shirt designs reworked from a streetwear angle. Now the pair are back, with Lovers F.C. continuing its authentic connection to the communities behind the game’s culture. This time the collective focus is switched to the cultural influence of Jamaica, felt worldwide through music, fashion and art, and it’s presented through two jersey designs, which were shot on location on the Caribbean island.

The jersey designs utilise the traditional colours of the Rastafari, combined with the dual branding of both brands, to create a football shirt celebrating the island's deep love of the beautiful game.

Intended as our way of paying due respect, these collaboration shirts are a celebration of this vibrant multinational borderless Island and the ever-evolving football shirt meets popular culture crossover led by Lover’s F.C.” read a statement from Lovers F.C.

Remaining as authentic as possible the shoot was created by key players in the island’s creative scene including Odessa Chambers (@oblessa), who is the daughter of the legendary Jimmy Cliff, a film producer, brand developer and key tastemaker of the island itself as well as upcoming dancehall scene artist Aza Linage (@azalinage).

The Lovers FC x Rizla collection is available exclusively on the LOVERS FOOTBALL CLUB shop here.
