Continuing to blur the lines between football performance and streetwear culture, Adidas have dropped a Jamaica ‘LFSTLR’ collection, which features an apparel range alongside a special edition Copa Mundial.
Following the launch of the clubs’ third shirts for the 24/25 season, adidas recently launched ‘LFSTLR’ collections for Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Now they take the football performance and streetwear culture crossover to the international stage with a fresh collection for Jamaica, the launch of which coincides with the world-famous Notting Hill Carnival, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of the Jamaican community in London.
At the heart of the collection is a LFSTLR jersey, which boasts a unique blend of dull shiny fabric with an allover trefoil finish, classic puff transfer prints, and refined flatknit cuff details. This design features a polo collar, which was a stand-out design feature from the matchday jerseys worn by Jamaica's historic FIFA World Cup 1998 squad. Unlike the collections for Bayern and Manchester United, the collection also sees the reveal of a special edition Copa Mundial, decked out in the Caribbean nation’s vibrant colours, with a yellow upper with green and black stripes.
The full collection also features a supporting capsule of tracksuit, tee-shirt and shorts based on the iconic adidas Originals Rekive silhouette. With its vibrant combination of the unmistakable black, green and yellow of Jamaica, the collection’s colour arrangement is inspired by the heroics of the 1988 Jamaican bobsleigh team, made famous by the Disney classic, Cool Runnings. The iconic trefoil logo, rendered in white, stands out against the nation's colours.
