MEYBA Collaborate With fabric For Limited Edition Football Shirt

Celebrating the iconic London club’s 25th anniversary in style, cult football brand MEYBA have partnered with fabric for a limited edition football jersey.

Football fashion spills from the pitch to the club, as global electronic music brand fabric collaborate with cult football brand MEYBA to celebrate the London nightclub's 25th Anniversary. And how else would MEYBA – the brand that has previous for creating the iconic Barcelona kits from the 80s, worn by legends like Maradona, Pep Guardiola, Johan Cruyff, Ronald Koeman, and Gary Lineker – go about joining in the celebrations than with a bespoke jersey design?

Since opening its doors in 1999, fabric has been at the forefront of the music scene and the club culture conversation. Consistently platforming a diverse range of genres and acts, fabric has played a pivotal role in shaping the global dance music scene for the past 25 years.

The fabric x MEYBA shirt arrives as a unique blend of football heritage and underground club culture. The monochrome design sees a sublimated Houndstooth graphic throughout (a possible nod to one of the family that sits under the fabric umbrella?). “fabric” sits in the sponsor slot, with that same Houndstooth shape witting as the club crest. The number 99 appears on the back, nodding to the year of fabric’s establishment.

MEYBA as a brand holds a special place for me personally," said fabric Director Cameron Leslie. "I absolutely treasured my 1985 Barcelona away kit, it seemed so exotic, so cool and I felt so special having something so different from the other kids growing up in Kent in the mid ’80’s.

“So when the opportunity came up to collaborate with such a cult brand to produce our first ever fabric football shirt I jumped at the opportunity. To be able to create something completely bespoke with detailing so in keeping with what we believe fabric to be has been a real pleasure for the team involved. Thanks to MEYBA for letting us do what we wanted!

Reinforcing that mutual respect between the brands, MEYBA Head Of Global Marketing Jonathan Jones commented, “Some of my earliest clubbing memories were formed at legendary nights at fabric witnessing sets from the likes of Craig Richards and Daft Punk and losing myself in a community of like-minded rave purists.  From the incredible sound system to the championing of underground talent fabric has always pushed boundaries and I’ve always wanted to work with this inspirational club so the opportunity to launch a bespoke football shirt to celebrate 25 years in the game is a career highlight for me.”
