Australian brand Front Office have come together with Umbro to reimagine some of the English brand's most iconic designs into a new capsule collection. Bringing some retro looks back to life, the collection dives into the Umbro archive to rework and rethink classic designs into a modern-day look.
Roll it back to the 80’s/90’s – Umbro’s heyday. The English brand were producing unbelievable kits for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Ajax. Every fan wanted an Umbro shirt. Fast forward to the current day, and Umbro are still producing some beauties. Their latest drop comes as a collaboration with Melbourne-based fashion brand, Front Office.
The two labels have teamed up to rework some vintage looks as part of a 12-piece capsule collection. Front office made sure to delve into the Umbro archive to unveil any hidden beauties that saw potential for a FO redesign. The headlining pieces feature two football jerseys, arriving in reverse colourways, with the classic fold over collar seen on so many iconic Umbro shirts – we all remember that Man United treble winning shirt. The rest of the collection includes, padded vests, jackets, t-shirt and track pants.
Arriving in two colour schemes, the padded vests take an unfinished Montreal Impact Windbreaker design from 1990 and adds a hood alongside a stitched Umbro diamonds design to produce an old-school look.
Front office x Umbro have produced once again with a capsule collection for the ages. Perfectly fusing the past and present, the collection is for those who remember Umbro’s heyday as well as those that want to bring it into the future.
