Kappa Introduce New Streetwear Line 'Kappa Authentic'

Taking a step beyond the pitch to offer a fresh take on football-infused streetwear, Kappa has launched ‘Kappa Authentic’, a new fashion sub-label that seamlessly fuses the brand's iconic football heritage with modern streetwear sensibilities.

Over the last few years, Kappa has been on a mission to elevate on-pitch performance wear, providing teams across the globe with some of the most stylish and desirable kit designs in the game, from Venezia to Athens Kallithea and Genoa to Vasco De Gama. A large part of that appeal has always come from the iconic levels upon which the brand’s instantly recognisable Omini logo has been positioned. That appeal has stuck fairly rigidly to the on-pitch performance side of things – until now. See, now, the Italian label look to tap into the cultural crossover that has shaped its identity over decades, with Kappa Authentic.

This new line builds on Kappa’s rebellious reputation in the football world, while shifting the focus towards elevated craftsmanship, premium materials, and refined urban aesthetics.

At the heart of Kappa Authentic is the Banda range, an unmistakable nod to the brand's DNA. Featuring the classic repeating Omini logo motif, it leans heavily into retro-sport vibes, drawing inspiration from the golden era of the '80s and '90s – a time when Kappa set the benchmark in both football and streetwear culture.

The debut Spring/Summer 2025 collection keeps things tight and considered, with an eye on future expansion. A standout piece is the Banda set in white, orange, and green – a direct reference to Kappa's groundbreaking collaboration with Venezia FC. Elsewhere, the collection strikes a balance between heritage and contemporary cool, delivering seasonal tees, hoodies, knitwear, football shirts, and an array of accessories.

Bringing the vision to life, the campaign has been crafted under the creative direction of Ted Philipakos (Venezia FC, Athens Kallithea FC), with photography by New York-based Ethan White. Shot in and around Turin, including the atmospheric Museo Casa Mollino – the preserved apartment of legendary architect Carlo Mollino – as well as local landmarks like Caffè Al Bicerin and Baratti & Milano, the visuals celebrate Kappa's deep-rooted connection to its home city.

The Kappa Authentic SS25 collection will be available online starting from 17 March at kappa.com
