Botter Debuts Reebok Collaboration As Part Of Football-Inspired FW24 Collection

As part of their FW24 show at Paris Fashion Week, Netherlands-founded but Paris-based menswear label, BOTTER has unveiled a new football-inspired collaboration with Reebok, which featured a reworked Energia Bo Két sneaker.

In case you weren’t aware, fold-over tongues are well in at the moment, and that’s fortunate for fashion label, BOTTER, who have just unveiled their latest collection on the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week. The collection explores the history between street football and Caribbean culture, and central to the collection is the Energia Bo Két trainer – a silhouette inspired by Reebok's archival football bootts from the early 2000s, complete with – you guessed it – a nice fold-over tongue, and set to be available in a range of new colourways.

This is not the first time that BOTTER and Reebok have worked together, as the pair reworked the Energia Bo Két silhouette in four bold colourways last summer. For the FW24 collection, the same model has been given a makeover, arriving in two new colourways.

It’s the latest entry to follow the burgeoning trend of utilising features from archival football boots to create trainers (see the T90-inspired Acne Studios Boltzer from last year’s PFW show, or the PUMA x Fenti Avanti for a more recent example).

Of course, BOTTER have previous with intertwining football into their fashion, having reworked adidas Predator boots for their 2022 show.

Further to the footwear focus though, the FW24 collection also featured clothing and accessories, notably a long-sleeved and over-sized shirt, complete with throwback collar and dual branding in the sponsor slot.

No official retail date for the Reebok x BOTTER Energia Bo Két yet, but it will be incoming.
