One of the most iconic sneakers ever made has undergone a long overdue Primeknit makeover as adidas Originals transform the Samba into a modern silhouette fit for the knitted world we live in.

The Samba is the original soccer shoe, and as we find ourselves in a market full of soccer inspired sneakers it's no suprise to see the OG get a modern day re-work. Over 35 million pairs of the famous Samba shoe have been sold since it launched in 1950 on its path to becoming the ultimate streetwear staple and terrace trojan.

In fact the Samba is adidas' second best selling shoe of all time; after the Stan Smith. Sleek vibes sit on a collared ankle fit for a full Primeknit transformation that still includes classic Samba DNA. It was always going to in that traditional black and white colourway. No official release date has been released by the Three Stripes yet, but we can expect a drop in May.
