Nike Create Air Max Pack to Celebrate Kylian Mbappé's World Cup Heroics

The accolades keep coming for Kylian Mbappé as French sneaker website Wave link up with Nike to create a special edition "KM" Air Max Pack to celebrate Mbappé's heroics as France lifted their second World Cup on Sunday.

20 years after lifting their first ever World Cup, and 20 years after Mbappé was born, Les Bleus are on top of the world. As a tribute to the talented number 10 Wave and Nike have created a "1998-2018" Air Max pack featuring two iconic pairs of sneakers. An Air Max Plus from the year Mbappé was born, and the recent Air Max 270 have both been customised with French inspiration to mark his rapid rise.

The famous jersey France wore to lift their first ever World Cup in 1998 is the inspiration for the design of the Air Max Plus aesthetic, while the stars are doubled for the 2018 Air Max 270 edition – a sneaker that uses a speckled pigmentation of the 2018 Nike away jersey worn at the successful World Cup in Russia this summer.

Both Air Max "KM" editions are showcased in a presentation box with a transparent lid featuring the French flag and the dates "1998-2018". Stunning stuff. The only thing wrong with it? Yeah... it's a one-off. The "KM" Pack won't be released to market. It's been commissioned by Julien Pagès and Mathias Prognon for WAVE.

You can't cop. But what you can do is have a bloody good look at some pictures of them.
