adidas Originals Drop 'Newton Heath' Manchester United Sneaker

adidas Originals are celebrating Manchester United's 140th anniversary by releasing a limited edition Newton Heath shoe, alongside a film with Oi Polloi documenting the journey of two young fans from Newton Heath to Old Trafford.

For the United supporters out there who don’t like to have the team’s logos and colours plastered all over their clothing and footwear, adidas Originals have provided the perfect solution in the form of the subtle Newton Heath shoe, which shows off a bit of team pride with added style and class.

The limited edition adidas Originals Newton Heath comes in a cargo green look, and it has a printed map of Newton Heath in each sole, showing the old location of the ground where the original team played back in 1878. The date and devil icon is embroidered on the heel, while gold embroidery of the name ‘Newton Heath’ completes the shoe. Last year, adidas released the Ninety Two, which celebrated 25 years since the famous “Class of 92”, and the Newton Heath is the latest in a series of collaborations between adidas and Manchester United.

As mentioned, this is a limited edition launch and there’s only going to be 1,200 pairs available, which will go on sale on Friday 7th December at selected retailers. If you fancy yourself in a pair then head to adidas.co.uk
