Not for the first time, Nike ties its latest pack release to one of its most iconic silhouettes. Yep, this is the Air Max Plus, one of Nike’s most popular sneakers since its original release in 1998, decked out in the same outfit as the new Euphoria Pack Mercurial.

Nike once again blurs the lines between the football and streetwear scenes, using the aesthetics of each to complement one another. This time it takes the vibrant colouring of the ‘Euphoria Pack’ Mercurial and drops it all over the Air Max Plus. The orange on white spray gradient is thinned down somewhat compared to the look of the Mercurial, increasing the presence of the white and giving it a more dominating look. But the orange – or 'Total Crimson' to give it its official name – pops nicely through the centre of the shoe, starting at the collar and working its way right down to the toe area.

For the construction of the sneaker, Nike has ditched the usual plastic cage that’s synonymous with the shoe, removing the wavy plastic overlays, instead sticking with a simple mesh upper. The other noticeable change comes in the Swoosh itself, here enlarged for a bolder more apparent look than other Air Max Plus treads. The orange then continues to flash throughout the outsole and within the Air Max cushioning units, all round offering a fresh look for the spring/summer season.
