adidas 4D Run 1.0 “Triple Black” Revealed

Back in black for a darkened delight, a sneak peak has surfaced of the adidas 4D Run 1.0 in a sleek “Triple Black” colourway, offering up the potential for a stylishly stealthy alternative for the sneaker's limited options that have been offered up by the Three Stripes so far.

Originally intended to knock Boost off the adidas throne, adidas 4D tech has been relatively underused since its debut, appearing sporadically on the rare Consortium release, expensive Y-3 iteration, or the infrequent 4D Run 1.0. And it’s on the latter that we see, in our humble opinion, what is the best execution yet, with a sleek “Triple Black” look. Granted, this is the sneakiest of peaks and it was declared as a sample only, but should this get a wider release then we’re all over it.

Subtle shades of grey appearing through the yarns of the technical knit upper lend the silhouette substance, while accenting elements come in the form of matching logo lock-ups, Three Stripe branding at the top of the tongue, a rigid heel counter and heat welded Three Stripes logos on the midfoot. And of course it all comes riding in on that unmistakeable latticed outsole – here appearing in jet black – that utilises adidas’ advanced Digital Light Synthesis technology.

Keep your eyes peeled for official confirmation of the adidas 4D Run 1.0 “Triple Black”.
