Continuing their collaborative partnership, Adidas Originals and Wales Bonner have revealed their Fall/Winter 2023 collection, which features a selection of Sambas in its lineup.
Wales Bonner and adidas have a strong working partnership, developed through several collections together, notably the London-based designer's take on the first Three Stripes-adorned Jamaica kits. The collaboration continues to tread new ground for FW23, with a fresh collection that’s built around a set of adidas Originals Sambas that continue to evolve Wales Bonner’s now signature take on the iconic silhouette.
The Samba takes up proceedings in four different colourways: “Fox Brown/Sandy Beige/Lucky Blue”, “Dark Brown/Cream White”, “Core Black/Cream White-Cream White” and “Cream White/Mystery Brown-Cream White”. Luxurious faux pony-hair uppers and gum soles feature in the set of four, while there’s also those classic suede overlays and signature contrast stitching that you’d expect.
Those four Sambas are then joined by a range of apparel. Off-pitch styles include an elevated knit set in mahogany brown alongside football shorts in a sand coloured nylon with the iconic Three Stripes contrast. Swapping creative sources of inspiration from the 70s to the 90s, key pieces are rendered in a lightweight nylon fabrication, including a pale sky tracksuit with reflective piping and a black nylon top with a contrasting vivid green knit collar.
The adidas Originals by Wales Bonner Fall/Winter 2023 collection is available globally on November 8 at adidas.com, via Confirmed, and through select retailers.
