Pillars of their respective communities, Black Sheep Skate Shop and Charlotte FC have teamed up with adidas Skateboarding to bring a unique and unexpected collaboration to the table, featuring a Samba ADV and top adorned with shop and club colours.
Last week, adidas Skateboarding presented a unique and unexpected collaboration, bringing Familia Skateshop and Minnesota United FC together for a capsule collection. Now they follow that up by pairing two Queen City pillars in Charlotte FC and local Skateshop, Black Sheep. The collection includes the Samba ADV with premium leather detailing, and a retro jersey, inspired by Charlotte FC’s Carolina Kit: Explore, featuring club colours, a topographical design, and Black Sheep branding.
Black Sheep has been a huge part of North Carolina's skate community since they opened their doors in 2003. Skater owned and operated, their links to the football club within the local community are strengthened by this collaboration.
The adidas x Black Sheep x Charlotte FC Samba ADV Shoes in Core Black, White and Ice Blue has been designed with a cruiser leather upper and a classic T-Bar toe box. Featuring Adituff reinforcement and team colour Three Stripe detailing, it’s finished with Black Sheep silver foil branding, printed insoles, a semi-translucent blue outsole and with collaborative adidas x Charlotte FC tongue details.
Then, the jersey uses club colours and a design inspiration from Charlotte FC's Carolina kit from 2024, but it brings in contoured lifework to represent the topographical map of the Carolinas. The retro fit top with collar and placket details injects DNA from both the shop and club.
