PUMA Drop Manchester City Palermo '0161' Shoe

With only 1,000 pairs available, PUMA have dropped a special edition of their Palermo sneaker silhouette, presenting it in a presentation that’s inspired by Manchester City’s home kits.

Football-inspired footwear is enjoying something of a renaissance at present, and PUMA have been tapping into that interest with the Rihanna-backed, King-inspired Fenty x Avanti, while they also dusted off a classic with the return of the Palermo. That sneakers resurrection was assisted by none other than Jack Grealish back in October 2023, and now that Manchester City connection is back with the release of the Palermo ‘0161’.

The PUMA x Man City Palermo 0161 arrives in the club’s traditional sky blue tones on the upper, while the brand’s formstripe rides down the side of the foot in white. Internally, burgundy is used as a nod to the various times it has been used as the side’s alternate colour, most recently for this season’s third strip. The design is then signed off with ’01’ and ’61’ on the heel of the left and right shoes respectively.

Construction-wise, the shoes are crafted with a suede formstrip and tongue, showcasing a debossed PUMA branded label. They feature a breathable mesh base for enhanced ventilation,  while the synthetic leather sockliner is adorned with the Manchester City club crest.
