Football News - Nike Mercurial performs - 20/04/09

Both Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots and Nike Mercurial Vapor V football boots turned in a performance during the weekends FA Cup action. At the SoccerBible we've been trying to figure out if one boot is superior or more popular, but with both boots turning in excellent performances and goals it appears the discussion rages on!

Not normally known for his pace, Drogba was constantly putting Arsenal's defence under pressure wearing the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots. Drogba scored the winning goal, by out-sprinting the Arsenal defence and rounding the keeper to put Chelsea into the FA Cup final. So does Drogba's performance, thanks to the support and lightweight Flywire technology, inspire you to become a Superfly fan?

Despite some confusion we can confirm that Theo Walcott is representing Nike Mercurial Vapor V football boots. Similar to the extremely successful Vapor IV football boots, the Vapor V boots have been advanced with Flywire technology but are less radical than the Superfly. The Nike Mercurial Vapor V football boots retain the responsive Teijin synthetic upper, but with additional "speed touch" coating helping ball control, touch and feel. Walcott is clearly a fan of the Vapor V after striking Arsenal into the lead, but is this a boot that appeals more to the traditional Vapor fans out there?
