SoccerBible Gospels: Vote For Your Football of the Season 08/09

Over 200 countries are voting in this year's Gospels... One World, One Game.

Football Winner: adidas Finale Rome

This offiicial matchball for the 2009 UEFA Champions League final in Rome wasn't just a winner for Barcelona, but was also a clear winner in the Gospels ball category.

The adidas Finale ball features a Roman burgundy colourway with gold detailing, celebrating the occasion are mosaic figures from key sporting values such as speed, teamwork, justice and power featured in each star! For performance this adidas ball has an all-over pimpled surface to give extra grip and longer ball contact, and to prolong durability the panels have been thermal bonded together.

Having supplied matchballs for major FIFA and UEFA tournaments since the 1970's this ball lived up to the high standards adidas and was a deserved winner.

Football Runner-Up: Nike T90 Omni
Instantly recognisable as the current Premier League football, the Nike T90 Omni ball was designed to set new standards in consistency, accuracy and visibility from the manufacturer who have been the Official Premier League Ball supplier since the 2000/01 season. The new ball graphics are designed to make the ball instantly visible from all angles, and to enable quicker reading of the balls pace and spin.

This ball still found the back of the net, but unfortunately rebounded off the post to finish second!

Football 3rd Place: adidas Terrapass

This top-end adidas ball recieved highest FIFA rating after passing tests on: weight, water uptake, shape and size-retention. Uniquely constructed out of 14 panels thermal bonded together, the Terrapass like its fellow adidas competitor in this category features a textured surface.

Nice clean graphics are combined with a ball designed to create greater swerve and increase accuracy in all conceivable weather conditions, leading to a respectable 3rd place.

Football 4th Place: Umbro Dynamis FA Cup
The Umbro Dynamis ball had its debut at the 2008 FA Cup final and has been used throughout the 2009 competition. Developed by Umbro over two years the Dynamis ball features a new 20 panel configuration made from teijin microfibre material, rather than the traditional 32 panels.

This ball proved an instant success and soon became the official England match ball, obviously gaining the England players backing, does it gain yours? Surprisingly not as the Dynamis came last!
