Now, the sublime midfielder is preparing for his second Champions League final in as many seasons, and will do so with a special commemorative pair of the excellent Puma King XL football boots.
Featuring two bespoke elements of personalisation, Carrick's King XL's have his initials and squad number (MC16) stitched into the tongue and sport "UCL Final Rome 2009" to the outside of each boot in gold lettering.
