To ensure his 51st cap was a winning one, Dempsey has been putting in the hard hours on the training ground. We re talking no excuses, sweat-dripping, all-out hustle, which is the hard-working attitude Dempsey is familiar with as he applies his trade in the English Premier League.
After the USA's 2-1 victory over Honduras, Dempsey commented: It was good. We had obviously been frustrated with the last result because we didn t play well and then we gave up an early goal. I think we showed a lot of character fighting back and getting the one to pull us ahead, and now were still in a good position to qualify.
