- A number of United players are keen to follow Ronaldo out of Old Trafford, with Nemanja Vidic a target of Barcelona and Manchester City beating United to the signature of Carlos Tevez. (The Times) - Manchester United have targeted striker Karim Benzema, and wingers Franck Ribery and Antonio Valencia as replacements for Ronaldo. (The Guardian) - Long-term United target David Silva is another potential signing, arriving from Valencia. (The Times) - A player United missed out on a few seasons ago could finally arrive at Old Trafford, as Arjen Robben is another target. (Daily Star) - Real Madrid will easily recuperate the £80million transfer fee, and are confident Cristiano Ronaldo can earn them £500million over ten years! (The Sun)
