Football News - Community Shield Boots - Owen & Terry Personalised Speciali's

With the 2009/10 football season curtain opener now passed, the SoccerBible managed to get an exclusive look at the personalised football boots of two of this summers most talked about players from Chelsea and Manchester United and their commemorative football boots...

Both Chelsea captain John Terry, and Manchester United striker Michael Owen play in Umbro Speciali football boots, and thanks to our good friends at Umbro and Pro Direct Soccer we got an exclusive look at the boots the players were issued for the Wembley sunshine and curtain raiser!

For such a special occasion, many top professional players want special boots to wear and treasure once the final whistle has gone. Michael Owen was looking to mark his first major game as a Manchester United player, and for John Terry it was the dawning of a new Chelsea era under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti.

These customised Umbro Speciali football boots are made to John Terry's exact foot requirements (hence the adiPure mix-up in America), and also feature the bespoke personalisation requested by the England and Chelsea captain. The boots feature the England flag on the tongue, as well as the names of both of Terry's daughters.*

Michael Owen has opted for his initials on the tongue, in a gold stitching to match the classic trim of the Umbro Speciali football boots. Owen told us in an exclusive video he has worn Speciali's from a young age as the Umbro fit, comfort and performance are perfect for his game.

*In respect of privacy we have removed this personalisation from some of these photos.
