Football Talk - Everton apply for work permit for Banega - 19/08/09
Everton have applied for a work permit for Argentine international midfielder Ever Banega.
The club want to sign him on a season-long loan deal from Valencia, with a view to a permanent transfer. However, the 21-year-old has not played the required 75 per cent of Argentina games in the last two years.
Valencia signed Banega from Boca Juniors in January for £15.4m but he spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
