CHELSEA TO GO ON SPREE?


- Chelsea will go on a £100million spending spree this week and hope to sign AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo, Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery and Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero! (Daily Mail)

- Liverpool are refusing to budge on their £30million valuation of midfielder Xabi Alonso, and are making a last-ditch attempt to keep Alonso, with Reds manager Rafael Benitez insisting he wants the Spaniard to stay at the club. (Daily Mirror)

ARSENAL TO SIGN VIEIRA?


-  Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is optimistic of beating Tottenham to the £750,000 signing of former Gunners midfielder Patrick Vieira from Inter Milan. (Daily Express)
