Football Boots News - Hands on at the Official Launch of the Nike CTR360

The SoccerBible was invited to the Emirates Stadium, London to be part of the official global launch for Nike's latest football boot innovation, the CTR360.

As part of the selected VIP audience comprising of international journalists and top footy boots media, it was an opportunity to find out some more about the new control silo collection and meet the global icon for the series, Arsenal and Spain's Cesc Fabregas. Thanks to our friends at Nike the SoccerBible had front row seats to share with our fans all the behind the scenes info and gossip...

For any SoccerBible fans who have been lucky enough to visit the Emirates, you'll already know what an impressive stadium the new home of the Gunners is. The launch event took place in one of the luxurious suites the Emirates has to offer and was decked out in CTR360 and Nike decor. Further inside, we joined the rest of the VIPs in front of the main stage, where we would be introduced to the new Nike CTR360 boots and Nike's latest exciting football innovation - Nike Football+.

After only a brief tease at how this could change your game, it was on to the demo area to grab a hands on session with the technology. Want to know more? Check out our low down on all you need to know about Nike Football+ by clicking here.

It wasn't long before we were back in our seats, awaiting the arrival of the Arsenal captain. Introduced by long time friend and all round football guru Guillem Balague, Cesc took to the stage to be grilled on all things from the new boots to what he does outside of football. Speaking frankly, honestly and with a great deal of passion, Fabregas gave plenty of insight into the team, Arsene Wenger and some of the highlights of his career thus far.

A quick outfit change later and we were all invited pitchside for a photocall with Fabregas. Ever the professional Cesc duly obliged with everyone eager to get their picture with the midfield star - but with the strict instruction not to go to far onto the immaculate pitch from the Emirates staff!

Rubbing shoulders with superstar footballers aside, the main reason we were invited to the Emirates was of course for the global launch of the new Nike CTR360. As you can read elsewhere on the SoccerBible, Nike have introduced a new range of "control" boots to sit alongside established marques for speed, accuracy and heritage.

The CTR360 Maestri boot is the first of its kind in this series and has been engineered specifically for enhanced passing, close control and effective distribution. Cesc confirmed he will be wearing the new boots for the first time in the Gunners match up with Blackburn on October 4th, and we're sure plenty of Boot Spotters will all be eagerly awaiting the official on pitch debut of these new boots.

The final element of the launch day was a play test of the CTR360 boots, which took place at Arsenal's Colney training complex. Here at the SoccerBible we'd been lucky enough to have a pair for several weeks now so the chance to really put them through some stiff competition was an opportunity too good to miss. You can find out how the CTR360's got on by checking out our hands on (or should that be feet on?) play test.

Stay tuned to the SoccerBible for plenty more from the official launch day, including interviews, exclusive content and the chance for you to win your very own pair of CTR360 football boots!
