Get Your New Virtual Football Boots with PES 2010 23/12/09

If you were to peer into the SoccerBible HQ on any random lunchtime, you'll find some virtual rivalries being settled as we boot up matches of FIFA 10 and PES 2010.

So imagine our delight and surprise with the free new official update and downloadable content (DLC) from Konami for Pro Evolution Soccer 2010.

Whilst the boring bits of the update can be debated elsewhere, the real reason we're so excited is now the opportunity to customise our favourite players with a host of new football boots - including the love it or hate it Nike T90 Laser III! The free DLC package that accompanies the patch contains ten new additional models of player boots and three new models for the balls!

You'll be able to assign players with popular choices like the Vibrant Yellow Mercurial Superfly, adidas F50i Macaw, Puma v1.10 and the new Predator X colours but for us the real treat is getting your virtual Legend into the as-yet-to-be-revealed Nike CTR360 White/Grey/Blue boots - way before their official release in January 2010! Check out our exclusive snap from SoccerBible community member Richard Leng with the new boots:

Also on the update you'll find fundamental improvements like new settings designed to allow more flexibility related to formations and to the way players use their tactics, as well as a fresh save function that allows the player to save all their modifications made to formations and tactics and then load them with only one click, which claims to speed up the game quite a lot.

Both the update and DLC package are available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions and are available now for download.

For those of you already updated, why not send in your favourite players in the new boots to our inbox at u2us@soccerbible.com with the subject "Virtual Boot Spotting" and we'll feature the best ones on the SoccerBible!
