Football News - Beckham makes winning return in Predator - 07/01/10

David Beckham enjoyed a winning return to Milan, the adidas Predator wearer played a starring role as AC Milan outclassed Genoa 5-2 at the San Siro.

Under the watchful gaze of England coach Fabio Capello, Beckham impressed on the right side of a three-man attack in his first game since beginning a second loan spell. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace, knows he must continue to perform at the highest level if he is to secure his place in England's World Cup squad.

Superstar David Beckham commands his own range of Predator football boots, and he played 75-minutes for AC Milan wearing soft ground adidas Climacool DB Predator football boots, which feature a unique vamp compared to the rest of the PowerSwerve range. And we can only assume Beckham changed into his older Predator boots due to the pitch conditions, as he warmed up in his new adidas Predator X Beckham football boots which had a customised firm ground sole-plate.

David Beckham played a starring role in the win at the San Siro, starting in attack before moving into midfield in the second half. And Beckham admitted he had not anticipated an immediate place in the starting line-up:

"I was happy with the game and happy with the win and it's just great to be back," Beckham, 34, told the BBC. "It's important that I work hard and perform well and I felt that I did that, but it's just one game."
