Official Launch of the Nike T90 Laser III - Wayne Rooney

     
The SoccerBible was invited to Manchester to be part of the global launch for the brand new Nike T90 Laser III football boots, and we were joined by a very special guest and key T90 wearer - Wayne Rooney!
     
Thanks to our friends at Nike the SoccerBible was part of a selected VIP audience comprising of international journalists and top football boots media. With front row seats to share with our fans all the behind the scenes info, gossip and the definitive verdict on the new T90 Lasers...
     

     
The launch event took place in a luxurious hotel, which had been converted into a green shrine for the new T90 Laser III football boots. And we were soon taking our seats to be given the lowdown on these innovative new football boots, and learn about their inspiration and design.
     

     
The aim of the Nike T90 Laser III football boots is to create industry defining accuracy, and we learned how Nike have achieved this through collaborating with Fernando Torres, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Keane, Rio Ferdinand and Gennaro Gattuso. It was explained to us how the different players have contributed to the boots development; such as Fernando Torres mapping out different areas of the shoe for ball strike, and Gattuso inspiring the aggressive design.
     
Next we received a briefing on Nike's new initiative, encouraging players to become part of the Nike family and improve their game with Nike Football+. Rather than the boot purchase being the end of the journey between the consumer and Nike, Nike Football+ will help you develop as a player. And after a brief tease on how this could change your game, it was on to the demo area to grab a hands on session with the technology.
     

     
Next up was the big man himself - Wayne Rooney! Who entered the room to a rapturous applause following the four goals he scored at the weekend, a testament to the T90 Laser III's performance attributes. And upon seeing Rooney, you soon realise how difficult he must be to play against, he's quite big!
     

     
The interview is a light-hearted affair, with Rooney telling us all about his game, his boots and his team-mates, whilst explaining what it means to play for Manchester United and England. Despite his physical presence, we get an insight into a player who works hard at his job, is a nice bloke and who is genuinely passionate about football.
     

     
With the interview over, Rooney grabs a pair of his cherished T90 football boots, and poses for pictures before departing. Leaving our SoccerBible team to head over to the training pitch, and find out what the new Nike T90 Laser III football boots can really do, but we'll let you know how that went!
