Premier League Fixtures 10/11

Premier League champions Chelsea host newly promoted West Brom as they begin the defence of their title on Saturday 14th August, the opening day of the Premier League season 10/11.

The fixture list for the Premier League season 10/11 has been announced, and the opening day has certainly thrown up some interesting games.

It's a return to Chelsea for West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo, whilst next up for the champions will be a trip to Wigan, before Stoke visit Stamford Bridge on August 28. Chelsea's first game against a top four side comes on 2nd October, when Arsenal travel to Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea first play Manchester United on December 18th.

Manchester United start with a home match against newly-promoted team Newcastle, whilst there will be an uproar from rival teams about the fixture list, as United face Blackpool at Old Trafford in their last game of the season.

The most interesting matches on the opening day include Liverpool, who start the post-Rafa Benitez era with a home match against Arsenal, while Tottenham and Manchester City meet at White Hart Lane.

In other fixtures, Aston Villa face West Ham, Everton travel to Blackburn, Blackpool's first match in the Premier League is at home to local rivals Wigan. Sunderland are at home to Birmingham, Wolves and Stoke clash at Molineux, while Bolton and Europa League runners-up Fulham meet in the North West.
