World Cup - Who Will Finish Top Goalscorer?

World Cup - Who Will Finish Top Goalscorer?

Now we know who will face each other in Sunday night's World Cup final, the debate for who will claim the Golden Boot has really hotted up - Sneijder or Villa?

Both Wesley Sneijder and David Villa have been stars of the tournament, their performances have been outstanding and their contributions to their teams progression has been crucial. Going into the World Cup final both players are tied on five goals, so either player could finish top goalscorer and for an extra bit of spice this is an adidas versus Nike showdown, but who do YOU think will come out on top?

Scoring five goals in six appearances is an impressive return from a midfield player, and Wesley Sneijder has ventured forward for the Dutch with deadly effect. Set-piece taker for the side, Sneijder is likely to be lurking around the penalty area during the World Cup final, with the hope of finding the back of the net.

Sneijder is playing in the Nike Elite T90 Laser football boots, a boot engineered to assist the performance of players at the World Cup. Nike dedicated themselves to improving player performance, through extensive research and player testing to create the Nike Elite football boots. Lightweight construction, intricate engineering, carbon-enforced strength and high contrast colors distinguish the Elite's as superior performance footwear.

Nicknamed 'The Blaze' by adidas to launch the new adiZero's, David Villa has certainly been blazing his way through the tournament. Villa is always lively and his movement is excellent. He's always looking for some space or to latch onto a through ball. And if he can't then Villa will collect the ball down the left and do the work himself, making him the deadliest player in the tournament.

The adidas F50 adiZero football boots David Villa is playing in are currently taking the football world by storm. The lightest football boot on the market, the F50 adiZero boasts a host of technologies and an ingenious design, the adiZero is a genuinely competitive and innovative speed boot.

The adidas F50 adiZero football boots have been the surprise package of the tournament, relatively unknown beforehand the adiZero football boots have stamped their authority on the World Cup. The SoccerBible's own Boot Race indicates the adiZero has currently scored 40 goals from the likes of Villa, Mueller and Forlan.

But will the adiZero's maintain their excellent form as the race hots up for the Golden Boot, or will they finally succumb to the Nike Elite football boots. The Nike Elite T90 Laser III football boots have been performing well through the likes of Klose and Sneijder, but their current goal haul of 19 is just half of the adiZero's.

The SoccerBible's exclusive Boot Race has recorded all the goals at the World Cup. The goals have been flying in left, right and centre, and the SoccerBible can tell you which football boots are responsible for causing the damage. This has highlighted the dominance of both adidas and Nike, but there have been brave showings and some impressive goals from the Puma v1.10 football boots and the Mizuno Wave Ignitus football boots, both making the Boot Race Top Ten.

Of course, going into the World Cup final all the talk in the football boots world will be about who's going to perform better - David Villa or Wesley Sneijder...adidas or Nike?
