With the draw for the UEFA Europa League complete, adidas have unveiled the matchball that will be used throughout the Europa League competition.

We now know which teams will be playing each other in the Europa League (see the groups below), so here's a look at the official ball of the Europa League season 2010/2011. Designed by adidas, the new matchball incorporates the "Grip'n'Groove" technnology and has the same visual identity as the tournament logo.

With an esteemed history, adidas have been the official supplier of balls used by UEFA in their tournaments since 1970. For this reason, despite coming in for some criticism since the release of the Jabulani, we'd like to think adidas have learned from the World Cup and we can expect better performance and feedback from the Europa League football.

The new adidas Europa League football has the unique "Grip'n'Groove" technology, which ensures a more stable trajectory in any condition to play. The current ball model is the Torfabrik, which is also used in the championships of Russia, Argentina, Japan, United States and the German Bundesliga.

We can't wait to see the new ball in action to see how it performs, and looking at the groups drawn it should be another exciting Europa League competition...
