Beckham to debut Preds?

Beckham to debut Preds?

David Beckham could be in-line to competitively debut his red Predators this weekend, if he makes his long awaited return from injury.

Beckham could make his 2010 season debut for the LA Galaxy against the Columbus Crew, after being activated from the disabled list this week and playing 45 minutes in a scrimmage. If Beckham does get onto the pitch, unbelievably it will be the first chance he has had to competitively wear his red adidas Predator X DB football boots.

Beckham is still an icon within the game, who can command a bespoke range of football boots. Yet we've noticed he prefers his Predator X football boots to feature a PowerSwerve sole-plate. Despite adidas' best job at disguising Beckham's sole-plate, by colouring the PowerSwerve chamber and configuring the studs of the two-piece outsole, it didn't escape the SoccerBible's keen eye as shown above.

Beckham will be desperate to feature, after the injury he suffered whilst playing for AC Milan caused him to miss the World Cup. But he knows playing a competitive game will be tough after playing out 45 minutes during the week, which Beckham commented:

The first 10 minutes were a bit of a blow for me, kind of a back to reality of playing in a game, but I got a second wind around 25 minutes. Physically, I m trying to get up to match fitness, but I ll only get that with playing in games. Strength-wise, I ve not got 100 percent strength in that left leg, but I m working on it. It s getting stronger each day."

Obviously, Beckham had been planning to wear his red adidas Predator X football boots whilst wearing the Three Lions of England at the World Cup, but fate was against the iconic midfielder. But it's still good to see the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan player can command his own range of football boots, and there is one thing you can say about a Beckham boot - it will always looks good!
