Kenwyne Jones off the Mark with Mizuno Supersonic Wave Football Boots
Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones opened his Premier League account for the Potters last night, and also got Mizuno off the mark in the Boot Race as he scored wearing the Mizuno Supersonic Wave football boots!

We brought you the Mizuno Supersonic Wave back in early June - describing this latest release from Mizuno as a sort of speed, control and heritage hybrid football boot and another example of the fantastic products coming from the Japanese giants. Which obviously impressed not just you, the boot buying public, but Stoke's record signing as well.
The Supersonic Wave features a fine Kangaroo quilted upper and suede collar lining which really does give a luxurious fit. Jones is Stoke's record signing at a cool £8 million, and was menacing up front all night as he searched for his first goal since joining from Sunderland. A one-on-one, header and thumping long range effort showed the signs of intent but it was with 10 minutes to go that Jones' industry was finally rewarded. Etherington dug out a far-post cross that Jones powered past a helpless Friedel to set up a frantic finale.
Of course, celebrating your first goal for your new club is something special, which is just what Kenwyne did with an acrobatic routine that got all of the Britannia Stadium jumping. It also allowed us to grab a closer look at the boots, complete with KJ9 Boot ID on the outstep and the Trinidad Tobago flag on the inside.
