Emmanuel Adebayor (Manchester City) adidas F50 adizero Intense Green

The new adiZero Intense Green colourway made their debut this weekend with a selection of adiZero players choosing the striking new colourway. Adebeyor netted from the spot for Man City as they suffered an unexpected defeat away to Wolves.

Gareth Bale (Tottenham) adidas F50 adizero Intense Green

Gareth Bale was another adiZero wearer who opted for the new Intense Green colourway at the weekend. The Spurs winger is becoming one of the key Premier League players for the adiZero boots. Expect him to be giving the boots their European debut tonight.

Mario Balotelli (Manchester City) Nike CTR360 Maestri

Mario Balotelli made his first start in the Premier League wearing the White/Cyber/Black Nike CTR Maestri boots. The boots were only made available in FG versions but are seen here in a SG sole plate.

Samuel Eto'o (Inter Milan) Puma v1.10 Lightning SL

Samuel Eto was wearing the Puma V1.10 SL boots for what is expected to be the last time this weekend. The Inter Milan striker has since been spotted wearing the new purple colourway of the boot in training and is expected to wear them tonight in Inter's Champions League clash with Tottenham.

With all the hype surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo this week and his new CR7 Safari boots, fans of the boot will have to wait a little longer to see its on pitch debut. Ronaldo was still sporting his Cherry Superfly II boots at the weekend as Madrid beat Hercules 3-1.

Lionel Messi (Barcelona) adidas F50 adizero Leather

We know this isn't exactly a new boot-spot, but with all 5 of Barcelona's goals coming from adiZero players at the weekend, we thought they were worth a mention. Messi put in another winning performance at the weekend as Barcelona cruised to a 5-0 thrashing over Sevilla. Messi and David Villa both scored a brace while Dani Alves also contributed with a goal

Everton play-maker Mikel Arteta avoived any temptation to switch into the more eye-catching green adiZero's at the weekend. Arteta stuck to his leather white/pink adiZeros, choosing to white-out the pink tongue. Rumours are starting to emerge that Arteta may be lined up for a brand switch in the near future.

Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan kept it old school against Sunderland at the weekend with the classic Puma King boots. We're sure Kevin Nolan won't mind being mentioned in the same breath as Puma King legends such as Pele, Cruyff and Maradona.

Alex Song (Arsenal) Nike CTR360 Maestri Elite

Arsenal midfilder Alex Song scored the crucial goal in Arsenal's 1-0 win over West Ham wearing his Nike CTR Maestri Elite boots. The week before Song was wearing the original Red/Black colourway of the boots but switched to the most recent edition of the popular Nike boot.
