We'd already seen the white versions make their competitive debut, but it was left to Philipp Lahm to debut the black/white versions of the adiPure IV football boots, which we'd suspected after our Boot Spy snapped Lahm training in his new boots.

Didier Drogba (Chelsea) Nike Vapor Superfly I

Drogba caught our boot spotting attention after switching between the Cherry Superfly II's and the Black/Volt Superfly I's, interestingly this seemed to be a case of switching sole-plates, as the Cherry's had a mixed stud sole-plate and the Black/Volt's a firm ground sole-plate.

Mahamadou Diarra (Real Madrid) Custom adidas Predator X

It's been a little while since we saw an outrageous pair of customised football boots, so our thanks goes to Real Madrid's Mahamadou Diarra who was sporting a pair of adidas Predator X boots personalised with the national colours of his home nation Mali.

Cabral (Basel) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

Another new football boots debut, this time it's the brand new Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots, which were only unveiled on Monday. Although we've got a funny feeling players were meant to hold off until Cesc Fabregas wore his, but it seems Cabral didn't receive that memo!

Gokdeniz Karadeniz (Rubin Kazan) Nike Mercurial SL

You rarely see the Mercurial SL football boots on pitch anymore, which is a shame because at the time of their release they were the one of the most innovative and popular boots on the market, especially in this Citron colourway.

Brandao (Marseille) adidas F50 adizero

Whether or not players have been contracted to wear the adidas F50 adizero football boots it seems that more than any other boot we can remember, players have been blacking-out their adizero's. Brandao is the latest player spotted in a blacked-out pair, and he had a fine game against Chelsea scoring the winning goal.

Dame N'Doye (Copenhagen) Nike Safari Superfly II

It's an issue that still seems to be causing a lot of debate among boot fans, should you wear another players colourway? Well, it's not an issue that's concerning Copenhagen's N'Doye who was sporting Cristiano Ronaldo's bespoke Safari football boots in the Champions League.

Goran Pandev (Inter Milan) Nike CTR360 Maestri

Goran Pandev was one of the lead players for the adizero, and was quite possibly the first player to competitively wear them during last season's Champions League. So were very surprised to see the Inter Milan forward now sporting a pair of Nike CTR360 Maestri I football boots, a decision he seems to have made just a few days ago.

Claudio Pizarro (Werder Bremen) adidas F50 adizero

We couldn't resist including Claudio Pizarro, not necessarily for the player and his performance (sorry!), although Pizarro was on the scoresheet. But because his Intense Green adidas F50 adizero football boots are a great match for the Werder Bremen kit, we just had to show them.

Robinho (AC Milan) Nike Mercurial Superfly II

Robinho has created the loudest noise in the Boot Spotting world this week, after blacking out his Nike Mercurial Superfly II football boots. We wouldn't like to speculate that Robinho has a contract dispute with Nike, but it's interesting to see the samba star completely black-out his boots.

Ben Sahar (Tel Aviv) Nike Safari Superfly II

Another player who just couldn't resist donning the Safari colourway is striker Ben Sahar, the one-time prodigy who joined Chelsea as a youngster, is now plying his trade in his home nation Israel. But it has to be said the boots certainly catch the eye on pitch, and the Safari fan club seems to be increasing on a daily basis.

Clarence Seedorf (AC Milan) adidas adiPure IV

Seedorf has been a fan of the adiPure range for quite a while now and is a good benchmark for the quality of the boot. So we were pleased to see there was no hesitation from Seedorf to wear the brand new adiPure IV football boots, and he was another player who opted for the stylish white/black/splash colourway.

Miralem Sulejmani (Ajax) Nike Vapor III

Last time we spotted Sulejmani he was wearing the Nike Safari Superfly II football boots, but he's gone from one extreme to the other after wearing the latest release in the Mercurial range, Sulejmani has now pulled on a retro pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor III football boots.

Aleksandr Kozlov (Spartak Moscow) Nike Mercurial Vapor V

On initial glance at the laces and lack of lace-cover we thought Kozlov was wearing a pair of Superfly I football boots, but glancing at the sole-plate you can see Kozlov is sporting the Vapor V's, and has done a bit of customisation himself.
