New Football Boots Debut - adidas adiPure IV

New Football Boots Debut - adidas adiPure IV

Over the past week there's been a host of new football boots released, including the adidas adiPure IV football boots and the Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots, well now it's time to see these football boots in action on the pitch.

Our boot spotting eyes were glued to pitches around Europe as we anticipated boot debuts in this week's Champions League action, and we weren't let down! Spotted playing for FC Twente was midfielder Theo Janssen, sporting the new white/black/splash adiPure IV football boots against Tottenham Hotspur, the boots looked great on pitch and stood out in stark contrast to the all red kit.

The adidas adiPure IV football boots have been released in two launch colourways - white/black/splash and black/white/red. They received a mixed response in our recent boot reviews, but we've got a feeling these football boots are going to be a grower because they look so much better on pitch. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any players in the black versions of the adiPure IV's but we did find Ivan Rakitic of Schalke, who was also sporting the white/splash versions which are a great match for his team colours.

One to watch...

Although there weren't any players spotted in the Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boots (, we get the feeling Nike want Fabregas to debut them), our eagle-eyed boot spotters did find Arsenal's Jack Wilshere gearing up for tonight's Champions League game wearing his new Nike football boots. So all eyes will be on the Emirates pitch to see whether Wilshere, or even team-mate Alexander Song debut the new CTR II tonight.

Were there any new football boots we missed from this week's Champions League action? And do you think the new football boots look good on pitch?
