On the 1st December, World AIDS Day, the World will turn (RED). Over 50 iconic landmarks in 40 cities will turn (RED) to tell the world about the (RED) 2015 ambition of ending the diseases of HIV and Aids across the world...

The campaign will be launched by lighting the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, before landmarks across the globe follow suit, including the Tokyo Tower, St Pauls's Cathedral, the London Eye, BT Tower, CN Tower in Toronto, the Empire State building and Niagara Falls to name a few.

Last year, Nike partnered with (Product) RED with a glamorous launch at NikeTown in London to mark the start of their partnership. Nike went on to launch their special Nike (RED) laces along with other Nike (RED) products. Didier Drogba was one of last seasons main icons for the campaign along with a whole host of players who wore the (RED) laces across Europe in support of the cause.

For those of you who may not be aware, (Product) RED was created by Bobby Shriver and U2 frontman Bono to engage businesses and corporations in the fight against AIDS in Africa. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria was established in 2002 with the support of then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and the world's leaders, to dramatically increase resources to fight three of the world's most devastating diseases. Since its creation, the Global Fund has become the dominant financer of programs to fight AIDS, TB and malaria, with US$15 billion for programs in 140 countries.

Whilst the landmarks are turning (RED), people are also being invited to show their support via the social networks; facebook, FourSquare, Meet-ups and Twitter. To show your support via facebook, simply visit www.facebook.com/joinred and change your profile picture to a (2015) RED image and help turn the world (RED).
