Barcelona train in new Sponsorship
We've managed to get our hands on images of Barcelona in training gear featuring the logo of their new sponsorship, 'Qatar Foundations'. Since signing the new lucrative partnership deal back in December, reportedly valued at $150 million, the Spanish giants have not been seen wearing anything with the new logo.
The Catalan giants were training at the FC Barcelona Jaon Gamper Sport centre in Sant Joan Despi near Barcelona earlier today. The agreement with Qatar Foundations will see Barcelona benefit financially from a sponsorship deal for the first time since the club was established.
Barcelona fans now have a glimpse of what to expect next season. The current UNICEF logo will continue to adorn the Barca uniform but will be paired together with the Qatar Foundation logo. It is understood a hybrid logo will be made of the non-profit Qatar Foundation and the familiar UNICEF logo on the new shirts. The deal will run from July 2011 to June 2016.
The new sponsorship deal was met with some disagreement from Barcelona fans who considered it a move towards selling out the charitable 'Mes que un club' spirit.
Now that we've got our first glimpse of the logo being worn by some of the worlds best players, what do you think?
